Ingredients
  • 6 medium apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Pinch ground allspice

Procedure

Put all ingredients into a medium saucepan set over medium heat. Bring mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to maintain a simmer. Allow to simmer until apples are very soft, about 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely.

Once fully cooled, remove the cinnamon stick. Assemble the paddle holder of the Cuisinart® Fruit Scoop™ Frozen Dessert Maker with the fresh fruit paddle. Place in freezer bowl and turn the unit on. While the unit is running, pour the mixture into the frozen freezer bowl.

Allow to churn until desired consistency, about 20 minutes.
