Start by making simple syrup: Stir sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until mixture begins to boil, sugar is dissolved and the mixture is clear. Set aside and cool.

In your beverage jar, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup and water. Stir with a wooden or silicone spoon. Top off beverage jar with crushed ice and lemon slices.

Serve in tall glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.
