Serves
Makes 2 drinks
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp. kosher salt
- 3 oz. blanco tequila
- 2 oz. fresh lime juice (about ~1 large lime)
- 1 oz. Cointreau (or triple sec)
- 1 oz. pomegranate juice
- ½ oz. agave syrup
- Pomegranate arils, for serving
- 1 lime, cut into wedges, for serving
Procedure
Place salt in a small dish or bowl. Using the leftover limes that have been juiced, run a wedge around the rim of your glass, and then dip in salt. Fill glass halfway with ice, and then set aside.
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, and then add tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, pomegranate juice, and agave syrup. Place lid on top, then shake to combine well. Strain into glass, then garnish with lime wedges and about a teaspoon of pomegranate arils.
