Your own custom, homemade chocolates
What you will learn
Menu: Your own custom, homemade chocolates
Class Description: Roll up your sleeves and join us in the kitchen as Ben Tseitlin from Benchic Chocolate walks you through the process of creating delicious, handmade goodies. Ben will show you how to create chocolate in a raw, minimally processed way without using any refined sweeteners.
Benchic Chocolate was founded in 2009 and since then, boxes of their chocolates have made it all over the world to people who love them. They were featured at TEDxSF and many other events, enjoyed in the offices of Google, Oracle, Facebook and are endorsed by New York Times best-selling author and cleansing specialist Dr. Junger.
During the class we'll provide you with a brief overview of chocolate-making, ranging from a historic look at Mayan practices, to common modern methods that diminish the rich flavor and health benefits of cacao. You’ll taste your way through the experience and try each of the ingredients separately before they’ve made their way into the chocolate molds. Whatever confections you don’t devour are yours to take home along with memories of a decadently fun afternoon.
What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
