Ingredients
- Sage infused Honey Syrup:  
 
- 1 cup water  
 
- ½ cup honey  
 
- 8-10 fresh sage leaves    
 
- Cocktail:   
 
- 4 oz. bourbon  
 
- 3 oz. blood orange juice, freshly squeezed 
  
- 2 tablespoons of sage honey syrup  
 
- 2 slices of orange, as garnish  
 
- 1-2 fresh sage leaves, as garnish
 
 
Procedure
Place water and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Off the heat, add the sage leaves and let it cool.   
In a mixing glass filled with ice, mix together the bourbon, orange juice and sage honey syrup.
Strain into a glass filled with ice (or stainless steel ice cubes) and garnish with sliced orange and fresh sage leaves 4. Serve.
