TerraStrand® is phthalate-free and formulated using renewable vegetable compounds instead of petroleum-based plasticizers. Sustainably produced and amazingly versatile, this material is available in a multitude of colors in Chilewich’s placemats. With so many hues to choose from, it’s easy to find the perfect complement to your table or décor.
Chilewich placemats accommodate both inside and outside dining areas. Microban® antimicrobial agents incorporated in the textile material continuously resist growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
Taking Care of Your Placemats
To clean your Chilewich placemats, simply wipe them with soap and water—this saves on laundry costs and energy usage. It is not recommended that they be placed in a dishwasher, as the heat may damage them. In addition, because the placemats are constructed from vinyl yarn, ensure that objects placed on them are not extremely hot, as this may damage the material.
