We’ll explore the flavor-enhancing qualities of cooking with different styles of beers, infusing dishes with the refreshingly complex flavors of some of Yards best brews to delicious effect. We’ll also cover practical techniques such as steaming mussels, deep frying onion rings, and making a scrumptious chocolate cake, all with beer. From course to course you’ll find reasons to raise your glass to creative cooking and delicious eating.
Yards crafts award-winning ales using time-honored methods, high-quality ingredients, and a wealth of insight gained from decades of brewing what they love and loving what they brew. They do it all here in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia at Pennsylvania’s first 100% wind-powered brewery. Their roots lie in British inspired ales, and they strive to achieve balance and subtlety through careful selection of ingredients and an unwavering commitment to artisanal production practices. The team from Yards will be on hand in this exciting class to share their knowledge and love for all things beer.
