Country Style Lemonade

Serves
For a 2-gallon beverage jar
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 cups water
- 3 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 20 to 25 lemons)
- 7 cups water
- Ice
- Mint to garnish
Procedure
Sunny days call for sipping sweet lemonade on the porch. Use fresh-squeezed lemon juice for a flavor that that is superior to any store-bought mix.
Stir sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and mixture is hot. Set aside and cool. In beverage jar, combine lemon juice, simple syrup and water and mix well. Top off jar with ice and lemon slices. Serve with ice and garnish with a mint sprig.
