Class Description: "Cooking locally and seasonally is my philosophy—I copied it from the French who know that the closer food is raised to where it is cooked, the better it will taste." —Susan Hermann Loomis

Proprietor of the renowned On Rue Tatin cooking school, Susan Herrman Loomis has written eight award-winning cookbooks and collaborated with Patricia Wells on The Food Lovers Guide to Paris. In her new cookbook In a French Kitchen, this American expat shares wisdom gained from two decades in her adopted hometown of Louviers, France. She introduces friends and neighbors who divulge culinary tips, lore, and secrets about the tantalizing world of French home cooking. Plus, she features more than 85 simple and sensational recipes, focused on seasonality and quality ingredients that anyone can find.

For this very special Bastille Day class, we welcome Susan Herrman Loomis into the Sur La Table kitchen where she'll share stories from her hot-off-the-press cookbook. Plus, she'll demonstrate how to cook a few French favorites, including succulent lamb chops and an amazing chocolate and raspberry tart. Join us for this one-of-kind evening of laughter, lively conversation and incredible French flavors. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today.
