What you will learn
Join us as we celebrate the Jersey tomato in all its glory, from the pure simplicity of a simple tomato salad to the sweet complexity of a tomato slowly dried in the oven for several hours, then paired with briny olives on crunchy crostini. Of course, nothing beats the taste of a summer-ripe Jersey tomato eaten out of hand with a sprinkle of sea salt, but we can also show you how to coax out he subtle sweetness in a roasted tomato sauce, or the tangy bite of a cherry tomato stuffed with marinated feta cheese. While we’re cooking, we’ll also sample several traditional and heirloom varieties from local farms and learn just what makes a Jersey tomato so good.
