Mulled Cider

Ingredients
- 8 cups apple cider
- 3 tbsp Sur La Table mulling spices
- 4 oz. whiskey (optional)
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 8 cloves
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lime, sliced
- 5 mini apples, sliced or 1 apple, sliced
Procedure
In a large pot, combine apple cider, maple syrup, mulling spices, cinnamon sticks and cloves. Stir with a wooden spoon.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, add orange and lime slices. Simmer for 30 minutes. Strain cider mixture and stir in whisky if using.
Serve immediately.
