What you will learn
Indulge your senses with an evening of food and music! Join us as we explore the tastes and sounds of Italy with Resident Chef Joel Gamoran and NYC-based string duo C I R C E. Students will learn the fundamentals of pasta and pizza creation while being charmed by the sounds of classical Italian masterpieces and opera works reinvented for string duo. Enjoy the two art forms as they unfold spontaneously; constantly changing, elevating and inspiring each other. Equal parts hands-on cooking class and concert, this class experience will please the palate and satisfy the soul. Performance by C I R C E to include works by Rossini, Puccini, and Handel-Halvorsen.

Classically trained, with performance degrees from acclaimed New York City conservatories, C I R C E challenges the definition of the traditional string duo with an eclecticism extending from Bach to bluegrass. Ms. Fairbanks and Ms. Castle have performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Merkin Hall, the United Nations, and the Baryshnikov Performing Arts Center, as well as more intimate venues like the Morgan Library, Neue Gallery, the Cell, NABI gallery and the La MaMa gallery. The duo has performed as a part of Tanglewood and Bowdoin International Music Festival for consecutive seasons. C I R C E was prizewinner at the New England Chamber Music Competition and is in residence at Manhattan's Turtle Bay Music School.

Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
