It's great to make hummus or to puree soup or to chop onions....I used it to puree tomatoes for tomato sauce and it took less than a minute!

Chopping, such as for salsa, etc., isn't as good as I would have liked or I don't have the nack yet for getting it to the right consistency without it being a puree....Chops uneven, loud, not as useful as hoped. Will be turning to blender more often...
