It does take some time (and machine power) to get the pasta extruded and my little Artisan mixer is pretty warm after the workout. Also, the angle of the attachment on the standard counter height means leaning over for most of the process, which is tiresome....

Great addition to my mixer...Easy to add more ingredients to the bowl without having to stop the mixer. I have a smaller mixer and would often get a face full of flour and this really moderates the ingredients going in!

So, for those of you concerned about purchasing this attachment due to the other reviews.. perhaps double-checking the beater height (i.e., the mixer head tilt adjustment) before first use would preclude the chipping issue....Fits my mixer perfectly!...
