Peach-Mint Lemonade

For a 2-gallon beverage jar
Ingredients
- 6 cups granulated sugar
- 5½ quarts water
- 2 cups fresh mint leaves
- 8 peaches, peeled and quartered (or 3 pounds sliced, frozen peaches)
- 6 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice (40 to 45 lemons)
- 30 fresh mint sprigs
- Ice cubes
Procedure
Give your lemonade a pretty pink twist with the refreshing flavor of mint and a sweet serving of peaches.
Combine sugar and 4 cups water over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture is clear. Add mint and boil for 2 minutes. Cool to room temperature, strain. Purée peaches with syrup. Add lemon juice and remaining water; pour through a fine sieve into beverage jar. Add ice, garnish with mint.
