The tough cryo-hardened American-steel blades boast a Rockwell Hardness of 61, are protected by chromium-rich alloy to resist corrosion, and are hand sharpened to 16-degree “apple seed” edge for long-lasting, reliable performance.
Ferrum knives are handcrafted in Willamette Valley, Oregon, using proprietary stainless alloy from western Pennsylvania and reclaimed hardwood burnished and rubbed with oil to a gorgeous luster. Ferrum Reserve processes the steel in Oregon, using their proprietary method of advanced metal forming, which results in less waste produced and metals with greater purity and density.
