Cristel Castel’Pro 5-Ply Nonstick Skillets

Full of unique, chef-friendly features such as rounded corners and rims and comfy stay-cool handles, Castel’Pro is made in France and designed by chefs for fast, precise, economical cooking. These pro-quality skillets feature three coats of PFOA-free nonstick called Exceliss+® that provide remarkable release and easy cleanup. The Exceliss+® non-stick coating is applied to Cristel traditional stainless steel products.

The base is blasted with an abrasive to roughen it and white-hot particles of stainless steel are then sprayed onto the roughened surface. The particles cool and harden to form peaks and dips that hold the non-stick coating permanently in place. The coating is applied in three successive layers, which guarantee both the toughness of the coating and its non-stick performance.

Castel’Pro 5-Ply consists of five layers on the bottom of the skillet (stainless steel, aluminum, stainless steel, aluminum, stainless steel) and three layers on the sides (stainless steel, aluminum, stainless steel) to take full advantage of the quick, even heat responsiveness of aluminum and the easy-to-clean, induction-compatible properties of stainless steel.

Cooking surface corners are rounded for easy mixing and cleaning, as are the rims to make pouring a simple, mess-free affair. The large, easy-to-grip handles are ergonomically designed for comfort and stay cool on stovetops.
