What you will learn
Cooking Class Description: Paella cooking on the stove, stuffed dates wrapped in serrano ham and an olive oil-infused dessert—feel like you’re in Spain without the jet lag. Join our chef instructor to learn the ins and outs of creating spectacular Spanish flavors right in your own cocina.
What To Expect: In our classes you'll work together with other students (in groups of 4), sharing workstations and equipment in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
Classes are 2 hours, unless otherwise noted above.
Hands-on classes are limited to 14-16 students, depending on location.
You will be standing, cooking, and working for most of the class.
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back.
Students receive a coupon for 10% off in-store purchases the day of class.
Cancellations or changes must be completed at least 48 hours before the start time of class.
Prices vary by location.
Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.

Fun but not a real class
Food was OK. A lot of "shared" chores among the different participants. Silly assignments like taking turns stirring the rice, but no overall start to finish meal prep and cooking. It's a fun time, but definitely not a real cooking class.

The menu was fantastic, our instructor Belle was also amazing! It was very engaging without being difficult or uncomfortable. It is a little pricey but overall a great experience.

Fun but?
It's a fun and unique date night idea. I was a little disappointed in the specific class we took since it had very little cooking, we mostly took turns doing things. I also think the class really depends on your group and teacher and how lively they are.
That being said, the food was delicious and it was fun to do something a bit different than going out to eat.
I think I would do it again but choose a class that's more hands on.

Savoring Spain was a winner!
My daughter and her fiance loved the class! They have since made the paella at home and have promised to make again soon and invite me to try! They even made the stuffed dates! I am so glad to have been able to provide the experience and will do so again.
