What You Will Learn

Explore cuisines around the world in just one week? Totally doable. From Middle Eastern falafel to Mediterranean souvlaki, kids will enjoy five fun-filled days of hands-on cooking. In our final class, kids get a chance to show off all the skills they’ve learned with a friendly Mystery Box team competition. Designed for ages 8-12, our Global Passport Kids' Series will expand your little chef’s palate and boost kitchen confidence.

Classes run about two hours each and last for five consecutive days. Young chefs will enjoy generous samples of each delicious dish and take home a packet of recipes and a Sur La Table apron. Share your love of cooking and boost your child’s confidence in the kitchen with a culinary experience they’ll never forget.

What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes your child works together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Your child will work with other students in groups of 4
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
  • Students will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please have children wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • Your child will enjoy a generous taste of every dish
  • All class participants receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases good for the duration of the camp
Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
