Sparkling Blackberry Lavender Smash
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup fresh blackberries
  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce lemon lavender syrup
  • splash of sparkling water
  • ice
  • additional lemon wheels, blackberries and herbs to garnish

For the lemon lavender syrup
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon culinary lavender
  • 3 wheels lemons

Procedure
To make simple syrup:

Pour your measured sugar and water into a saucepan and heat on medium.

Cook, stirring the mixture until your sugar has completely dissolved.

Add culinary lavender & lemons and continue heating for 30 seconds before removing from heat and adding lid to the top of the pan.

Allow syrup to infuse for half an hour.

Strain the syrup and allow to cool completely before using, or store in an airtight container in the fridge.

To make cocktail:

Mix together the muddled blackberries, gin, lemon juice, and lemon lavender syrup into a mixing glass. Stir gently with ice to chill.

Remove ice chips and pour the cocktail base into your hydroflask thermos and bring it outside to enjoy in the sun!

Pour into a serving glass with ice and add sparkling water.

Garnish with additional lemon wheels, blackberries and fresh herbs before serving!
