What you will learn
Seattle-based Top Pot Doughnuts is proud to announce the opening of their first out of state café this spring in Dallas and we are thrilled to welcome them to the Sur La Table kitchen to celebrate! Since emerging as one of Seattle's best doughnut companies a decade ago, Top Pot Doughnuts has become synonymous with doughnut perfection. And with the release of their cookbook, Top Pot Hand-Forged Doughnuts: Secrets and Recipes for the Home Baker, the owners made their confections accessible to the home cook. Join owner Mark Klebeck for a class that teaches doughnut-making basics, plus covers information on frying techniques, baking with alternative ingredients, and on Top Pot's unique history and exciting future. He'll demonstrate both cake and yeast-raised doughnuts, and also share their recipe for the ultimate bread pudding.
Top Pot Doughnuts new Dallas location will be on Hillcrest at Northwest Highway. Serving Preston Hollow, the Park Cities, and North Dallas, Top Pot will offer fresh-made-daily, on site, varieties of hand-forged doughnuts, fresh roasted coffee, and locally made sandwiches and pastries. Hand-forged with lots of care in small batches, both cake and yeast-risen doughnuts from Top Pot's own formulas abound including Plain Old-Fashioned, Feather Boa, Lemon Valley Girl, and Chocolate Rainbow, as well as their special treasures: Maple Bars and Apple Fritters with apple/cinnamon nooks and crannies.
Top Pot Doughnuts was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The company owns and operates fifteen cafes in the Puget Sound region. Top Pot is a regular feature on The Travel Channel, Food Network, Rachel Ray, The Cooking Channel, and CNBC. For more information pl visit: www.toppotdoughnuts.com..
