For this session, we've adjusted our camp a bit to fit the local school vacation schedules. For three fun-filled days, kids will enjoy working alongside classmates learning to make a variety of dishes from around the world. Our instructor will cover fundamentals such as basic knife skills, reading recipes and the importance of kitchen safety. Your little chef will gain confidence in the kitchen as we practice techniques for everything from making fresh pasta, to wok cooking and creating sauces from scratch. We’ll end on a sweet note with a day devoted to preparing and decorating scrumptious chocolate treats. Each class runs for two hours and kids will enjoy a generous sample of every delectable dish. Day 1: A Taste of Italy
Basic Pasta Dough - Bow-Tie Pasta with Homemade Pesto Sauce – Spaghetti with Marinara and Mini Meatballs - Chopped Salad with Creamy Parmesan Dressing
Day 2: Asian Flavors
Steamed Dumplings with Ginger Soy Dipping Sauce - Barbequed Pork with Bok Choy - Chicken and Scallion Lo Mein

What To Expect: Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
You will work with other students in groups of 4
Hands-on classes are limited to 16 students
Students will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
You will enjoy a generous taste of every dish

Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
