Dehydrated Apples

Procedure
- Prep time: 20minutes
- Dehydrate time 8-10hrs
Thoroughly rinse apples then cut into very thin slices (0.03 -0.05 inches /1-1.5mm).
Plunge slices into a bowl with lemon juice. Dry apple slices on paper towel. Lay slices in a single layer on the dehydrator basket.
Select DEHYDRATE/super convection/125F. Press SELECT button to activate ROTATE REMINDER. Slide in basket with the apple slices and press START. Dehydrate for 8-10hours or until dehydrated to your liking. Rotate tray(s) when prompted by the beep of the ROTATE REMIND.
- Note:
- Firmer apples are best for apple slices.
- Lemon juice keeps the apple from browning too much while dehydrating.
- The sweeter the apples the more pliable the dehydrated product will be because of the elevated sugar content.
