Cancellation Policy

Thank you for registering to attend a Sur La Table Cooking Class or Private Event. This policy describes what happens should you need to cancel. To receive a full refund, cancel up to 48 hours before the scheduled start time for cooking classes and at least 14 days before the scheduled date for private events. Refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Should you prefer, you can choose to receive your refund in the form of a Sur La Table Gift Card.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds or in-store credit for cancellations made within 48 hours of your class start time or within 14 days of your private event. Cancellations or changes can be made (1) in person at the class location or (2) by calling toll-free Customer Service at 317-559-2041 during normal business hours. We cannot accept or honor cancellations made by email or left on voicemail.

When Sur La Table must cancel a class due to inclement weather or other circumstances beyond our control (e.g., power outages, facility issues, etc.), we will attempt to notify you by email or telephone with as much notice as possible. If this occurs, Sur La Table will issue a full refund to the original form of payment or, should you choose, a Sur La Table gift card. However, if we do not affirmatively cancel a class by email or telephone and you are unable to attend, our standard cancellation policy applies. Please note that Sur La Table reserves the right to modify class menus at any time due to ingredient availability or seasonality.

What you will learn
Cooking Class Description: Transport yourself to the heart of Ireland in this hands-on class celebrating the rich flavors of the Emerald Isle. You’ll delve into the art of crafting shepherd’s pie, a comforting classic adorned with a golden sweet potato topping. Learn how to craft a rustic soda bread with Irish cheddar and spring onion, mastering the perfect blend of flavors and textures. When it’s time for dessert, we’ll share secrets for making a decadent chocolate bread pudding spiked with Irish cream.



What To Expect: In our classes you'll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.

  • You will work with other students in groups of 4, sharing workstations and equipment.
  • Classes are 2 to 2 1/2 hours, unless otherwise noted above
  • Hands-on classes are limited to 12-16 students, depending on location.
  • You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class
  • Please wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied back
  • Students receive a coupon good for 10% off in-store purchases the day of class
Sur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please check with your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.

The instructor ensures that participants understand the recipe instructions before she moves to the next item on the menu. Between 4 and 5 stars.
I loved this class. My great grandma Rooney and grandma Callahan would be proud of me making shepherd pie, Brown bread and chocolate bread pudding.

Food is delicious and instructor is knowledgeable, but experience lacks hands on access
Would happen better with more hands-on experience. It felt very awkward to share between four people and either have to take turns or allow the most proactive person to do most the class. When there was an extra station open, it would have been nice if the teacher had allowed some people to move there instead of completing it herself.

The instructor was very nice and knowledgeable about cooking. The recipes also produced delicious food.

Experience needs improvement, but recipes were spot on
I am hoping this goes directly to the location because overall I would certainly recommend to others and would love to give 5 stars.
But I can't so these are tips to improve the experience for others.

- One glass of alcohol should be offered. It's a night out presumably with friends / a loved one, and thus?an alcoholic beverage would add a classy, fun touch and is standard to the point that it was a surprise not to be offered one at a cooking class. Step it up.

- There were no recipes sent after the class or included in a folder after the class? Really? So how are we supposed to take notes, take home our recipes for future creations? It's not just a class, it's an experience that one hopes to replicate at home when one finds a good recipe! And they were seriously good recipes?

The class was excellent! The teacher and her assistent were super friendly and not only did we love the food, they made cooking fun!

A fun and learning experience!
I had a lot of fun! The chef was very good in explaining the instructions as we were going along the class. I would take another class!
