What you will learn
In this fun, five-day workshop, young chefs will practice essential kitchen skills and master cooking fundamentals. Kids will learn techniques for everything from grilling and sautéing to making pizza and pasta from scratch. We’ll get hands-on and cover all the basics such as rules for handling knives, how to read and follow recipes, measuring and mixing, and the importance of kitchen safety. Your 7 to 11-year-old will build on skills throughout the week and create an impressive menu of restaurant-style dishes.
Classes run about two hours each and last for five consecutive days. Young chefs will enjoy generous samples of each delicious dish.

Hands-on class size vary up to 16 studentsStudents will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class Please have children wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and have long hair tied backSur La Table recipes are developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts, meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please contact your local Cooking School before attending the class. Adjustments to recipes cannot be made during class.
