Okay but unnecessary and don't work on All Clad lids...
For me, I tried them, didn't like the height they lifted the lid to and they are now shelved.
A better option for boil over is the Sur La Table Silicone Spill Stopper lid as shown in the photo.Add to Bag -

Kitchen Lid Rests
A kitchen lid rest is a quiet hero for anyone who spends time at the stove, whether you’re simmering a family recipe or whipping up a quick weeknight meal. If you’ve ever found yourself searching for a clean spot to set down a steaming pot lid, you know how easily a countertop can turn into a mess of drips and condensation. Lid rests offer a simple, elegant solution—keeping surfaces tidy and your hands free to stir, taste, and season. They’re especially handy during the summer months, when kitchens tend to fill with the scents of fresh produce and bubbling sauces, and every inch of counter space counts. A well-placed lid rest can help keep things organized during backyard barbecue prep, or while canning batches of homemade jam. They’re also a thoughtful addition for anyone who loves to host, making cleanup smoother when you’re juggling multiple dishes and serving platters.
When choosing a kitchen lid rest, consider the types of cookware you use most often. Some rests are designed to hold a variety of lid sizes, from the hefty tops of Dutch ovens to the delicate glass lids that come with smaller saucepans. Materials matter, too—options range from sturdy stainless steel to sleek silicone, each offering its own balance of durability and easy cleaning. Look for features like drip trays or angled cradles that catch condensation, sparing your counters from water spots and stains. A weighted base can provide extra stability, especially if you’re working with heavier lids. If your kitchen is compact, you might appreciate a design that folds or tucks away between uses, making it easy to keep your workspace uncluttered. For those who enjoy the details, some lid rests double as spoon or utensil holders, streamlining your cooking process even further.
A kitchen lid rest makes a thoughtful gift for newlyweds, recent graduates, or anyone settling into a new home—it’s the kind of practical item that quickly becomes indispensable, even for those who didn’t know they needed one. It’s also a considerate pick for the avid home cook who seems to have every gadget, or for the friend who loves to experiment with new recipes and techniques. For smaller pots and pans, pairing a lid rest with a selection from our Small Cookware Lids collection can create a personalized, useful gift set. Whether you’re cooking for a crowd or just for yourself, a lid rest helps keep the rhythm of meal prep smooth and stress-free. With the right tools at hand, you can focus on the joy of cooking—savoring the aromas, textures, and flavors that make every meal memorable.
