Cuisinart Multicooker in Stainless Steel

The multicooker with a nonstick cast-aluminum pot has three programmable functions: Brown/Sauté, Slow Cook and Steam. You can brown and sauté directly in the cooking pot, then switch modes to slow cook or steam without moving food to another pan. After cooking, it can automatically transition to Keep Warm so food stays hot until you are ready to serve.

It is a flexible choice for one-pot meals that start with sautéed aromatics or browned meat, then finish low and slow. Use Slow Cook for stews, braises and chili, or use Steam for vegetables and seafood. Brown/Sauté is also handy for reducing sauces or building flavor before slow cooking.

Slow Cook offers four settings, high, low, simmer and warm, and can be set for up to 24 hours. The Steam function can be set for up to 90 minutes. For higher-heat cooking, temperature can be set as high as 400°F.

It comes with a glass lid and a reversible roasting/steaming rack. The rack is designed to support steaming and can also be used as a roasting rack inside the cooking pot. The lid handle is designed to stay cool to the touch during use.

The removable nonstick cast-aluminum cooking pot and the glass lid are dishwasher safe. For the exterior of the unit, clean with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. As with most nonstick surfaces, using nonmetal utensils can help reduce the chance of scratching.
