Le Creuset Stainless Steel Stockpot with Colander Insert

A stainless steel stockpot is ideal when you need generous capacity for simmering soups, making stock and boiling pasta. It’s also a great go-to for batch cooking since the tall sides help contain splatter and keep liquids at a steady simmer.

The stainless steel stockpot includes a fitted lid and a colander insert. The insert is handy for draining pasta or lifting foods out of hot water, and it also works well for steaming vegetables or shellfish.

Tri-ply construction is designed to promote quick, even heating and reduce hot spots. That can be especially useful for long simmers, where steady heat helps soups and stocks cook more consistently.

The lid is designed to lock in moisture during cooking, and it includes an internal flange to help prevent stray drips. A built-in relief valve vents excess steam, which helps manage steam release while the pot is at a boil or simmer.

For pasta, boil water in the pot, cook as usual, then lift the insert to drain. For steaming, add water to the pot, place ingredients in the insert, cover with the lid and cook until tender.
