Sustainably Manufactured Cookware with Stratanium Nonstick
Denmark-based SCANPAN has emerged as a worldwide leader in creating safe and sustainable cookware since its founding in 1956. Committed to producing first-rate cookware while maintaining earth-friendly manufacturing practices, SCANPAN handcrafts non-stick products from 100% recycled aluminum under strict environmental standards.
SCANPAN’s ES5 cookware line is produced completely free of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), including perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). The line features their revolutionary Stratanium non-stick technology, which consists of a total of five hard-particle, wave-like layers that interlock to reinforce the non-stick surface. This innovative coating is guaranteed not to blister or peel, and it won’t interact with food or metal utensils.
Constructed with heavy-duty, pressure-cast aluminum, ES5 cookware features an extra-thick base for outstanding heat conduction and even heat distribution. Oven safety to 500°F allows for convenient stovetop-to-oven cooking.
Oven-Safe Handles and Tempered Glass Lids
The rivet-less Bakelite handles of the ES5 line, also oven-safe to 500°F, provide an easy-clean, smooth interior pan surface. Further, the handles are ergonomically designed for a sturdy and comfortable grip.
Some ES5 pieces include hard-wearing, tempered glass lids, which allow convenient monitoring of food preparation without loss of moisture or heat. After cooking, chefs can look forward to easy cleanup in the dishwasher.
