What you will learn
There are few things in life as enjoyable as cooking a good meal, then sitting down and enjoying it with friends and loved ones. In this special hands-on class, co-hosted by The Etiquette School of Chicago and lead by our very own expert chef, we will teach your teens not only some of the key techniques they need in the kitchen, but also help them understand how the right manners can make them feel comfortable in any situation. We’ll show them that manners don’t have to be stuffy and boring, but can bring you confidence when faced with something new or different.
The class will start with some kitchen fundamentals like basic knife skills, how to follow recipes, measuring, mixing, and kitchen safety while the class works together to create a few classic and teen-friendly dishes. Then, we’ll spend some time on how to set a table, the how’s and why’s of dining etiquette, table manners, and more.
This hands-on class is designed for teen ages 13-17 and will last about 2 1/2 hours.
