½ stick of butter 1 cup brown sugar ½ teaspoon cinnamon ½ cup banana liqueur 4 bananas, cut in half lengthwise, then halved ½ cup dark rum ¼ cup bourbon 4 scoops vanilla ice cream Toasted walnuts for garnish
Procedure
Set a large pan to medium-high heat.
Peel bananas and cut in half lengthwise.
Add the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon to the pan and stir to combine. Once the sauce starts to caramelize and bubble, add banana liqueur and bananas to the pan
Pour bourbon and rum into the pan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, pull pan back to flambe.
Swirl the pan, carefully moving the alcohol around the pan. Be careful of the flames. Once the fire is gone, stir until the sauce is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Serve over ice cream and enjoy!
