A sparkling wine bottle stopper with color indicator is designed to keep pressure inside an opened bottle to help preserve champagne and sparkling wines. The color indicator provides a visual signal so you know when it’s time to finish the bottle.
It’s best for champagne and sparkling wines after the bottle has been opened. If you are storing still wine, you will generally want a standard wine stopper made for non-sparkling bottles.
The indicator gives a quick visual cue related to what’s happening in the bottle, so you can decide when to pour the remaining glasses. It is meant to guide your timing, not to provide an exact clock or countdown.
A pressure-preserving champagne stopper helps keep the bottle ready between pours, so you can serve at an easy pace. With the color indicator, you can also keep an eye on when it’s best to finish the bottle before the moment passes.
By keeping pressure inside the bottle, it helps preserve the bubbly character of champagne and sparkling wines after opening. The color indicator adds a helpful reminder so you are less likely to forget an opened bottle in the fridge.
