What are the ingredients? Are pickled lemons the same thing as “preserved” lemons?

The two terms (pickled vs. preserved), often seem to be used to mean the same food product. When you google 'picked vs. preserved', you will see what I mean. If you are preparing a middle eastern recipe, this is the preserved lemons you will want. Some lemons that use the descriptor, 'pickled', contain sugar - but not always. Confusing, I know. Ingredients of this product: I just now pulled the jar from my pantry. It lists, Organic Lemon, Red Pepper, Brine Solution (Water & Salt). There are 2 or 3 whole red chili peppers, floating in the jar, along with 2 very plump lemons. It is a very generous amount - I doubt you will use the entire jar for your recipe. The 'pickled' lemons that contain sugar, may be used more often with Thai recipes, and those recipes with sweet/sour flavor notes. Hope this is some help. This is a lovely product by the way.
