Sur La Table Olivewood Dowel Rolling Pin, 19"

An olivewood dowel rolling pin is great for rolling out dough for pies, tarts, cookies and other baking projects. The 19" length gives you room to work across wider sheets of dough while still feeling easy to control.

Olivewood is a durable choice, and it naturally resists odors and stains. That makes an olivewood rolling pin a smart pick for frequent bakers who want a tool that stays pleasant to use from batch to batch.

A dowel rolling pin is a straight, handle-free pin you roll by placing your hands directly on the wood. Many bakers like the simple shape because it’s easy to reposition and it keeps the feel of rolling very direct.

Lightly flour your work surface and the olivewood dowel rolling pin before you start. If the dough feels warm or tacky, chilling it briefly can also make rolling easier and help you keep clean edges.

Not at all. While it’s especially handy for pie, tart and cookie dough, it’s a versatile rolling pin for any dough you need to roll out evenly for baking.
