Beyond stirring and serving, the silicone slotted spoon is designed to help you scrape along the edges of the pot as you cook or portion. It is a convenient extra step for tidier serving and cleanup.

You can. The silicone slotted spoon transitions from cooking to serving, so you can lift and drain foods at the stove, then bring it straight to the table when it is time to dish up.
