Zyliss Oyster Tool

The silicone oyster tool is best for shucking oysters with a steadier, safer grip. The silicone pocket helps hold the shell in place while the knife is used to work through the hinge.

You get an oyster knife and a silicone gripping pocket that works as a holder. The pocket also has a slot designed to store the knife between uses.

Place the oyster into the silicone pocket so it is held securely, then position the knife at the hinge. Use controlled pressure to slide the curved tip into the hinge and open the shell.

The silicone pocket includes a dedicated slot that lets you store the knife in the holder when you are finished shucking. It keeps the two parts together so the tool is easier to grab the next time you need it.

Rinse and clean the knife and silicone pocket after use, especially after contact with briny shellfish juices. For best results, follow any care and cleaning directions that come with the tool.
