By the reviews, i thought it would be a little thicker but it's as thin as many of the lower priced vinegars that i have purchased. The taste is fine but would not rate it superior....I love the depth of flavor this balsamic vinegar has. A slight thickness...
Pros: taste, quality, wonderful flavor

Vinegars For Cooking
Vinegars for cooking are an essential part of any well-stocked kitchen, offering both versatility and depth to a wide range of dishes. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or just beginning to explore new flavors, the right vinegar can transform your cooking, adding brightness, complexity, and balance to everything from salads to marinades, sauces to desserts. With the arrival of late summer and its abundance of ripe produce, now is a perfect time to experiment with gourmet vinegars—drizzling a splash of tangy red wine vinegar over heirloom tomatoes, or finishing grilled vegetables with a touch of aged balsamic for a rich, caramelized note. The best vinegar for cooking often depends on your personal taste and the cuisine you’re preparing, but having a selection on hand allows you to match the right flavor profile to each dish. Apple cider vinegar brings a crisp, fruity edge to slaws and braises, while rice vinegar lends a gentle acidity to stir-fries and dipping sauces. For those who love to bake, a dash of vinegar can even enhance the texture and rise of cakes and pastries.
Cooking vinegars also make thoughtful gifts for food lovers, home cooks, and anyone who enjoys experimenting in the kitchen. A beautifully bottled vinegar, perhaps paired with a recipe card or a set of premium olive oils, can inspire creativity and elevate everyday meals. Vinegars are especially appreciated by those who enjoy preparing vegetarian or plant-forward dishes, as they can bring out the natural flavors of vegetables, legumes, and grains. If you’re looking for inspiration on how to use vinegar in vegetarian recipes, explore our curated collection at Vinegars For Vegetarian Dishes. Many home cooks find that once they start using gourmet vinegars, they reach for them again and again—not just for vinaigrettes, but to deglaze pans, quick-pickle summer cucumbers, or brighten up a pot of beans. With so many varieties to choose from, each with its own distinct character, it’s easy to find a few favorites that become staples in your kitchen.
When selecting vinegars for cooking, consider their acidity, flavor intensity, and how they complement the ingredients you use most often. Some vinegars offer a subtle, nuanced taste that won’t overpower delicate dishes, while others are bold enough to stand up to hearty meats or roasted vegetables. The quality of the vinegar makes a noticeable difference, especially in recipes where its flavor takes center stage. Look for vinegars crafted with care, using traditional methods and high-quality ingredients, to ensure you’re getting the most out of every drop. Whether you’re preparing a simple salad for a weeknight dinner or creating a multi-course meal for a special occasion, having a variety of cooking vinegars on hand helps you build layers of flavor and bring out the best in your ingredients.
