Shun Classic Blonde Utility Knife, 6"

A Damascus-clad utility knife is ideal for all-purpose slicing when a paring knife feels too small and a chef’s knife feels like more than you need. This 6" size is especially handy for slicing tomatoes, cutting sandwiches and handling a wide range of everyday prep tasks.

In this Damascus-clad utility knife, VG-MAX is the core steel at the center of the blade. The stainless steel Damascus is layered over the core, creating the signature pattern and forming the outer sides of the blade.

The blade is clad with 34 layers of stainless steel Damascus over the VG-MAX core. Those layers create the distinctive Damascus look you can see along the blade.

The handle is made from pakkawood and shaped in a D profile to feel secure in your grip during slicing and detail work. The blonde finish adds a lighter, wood-forward look that stands out in a knife block or on a magnetic strip.

Yes, the wood-grain pattern on the Damascus-clad blade is designed to help prevent food from sticking. It can be especially helpful when you are making thin slices of ingredients like tomatoes.
