I love le Creuset cast iron pots. It was a present for my niece...I recommend the SurLaTable 7 qt cast iron...I would recommend this cast iron. I have a few cast iron Dutch ovens & I like the size of this for soups to main course , slow cooked meats....

I guess if you cook on high jheat the cast iron gets super hot and burns or carmelizeds food....I needed a large skillet and was planning to get a cast iron one. This is so much prettier for serving, and it's easier to clean.
