Lodge Seasoned Cast Iron Grill Topper, 15" x 12"

A seasoned cast iron grill topper is ideal for grilling smaller or sliced foods that can slip through standard grill grates. It’s especially handy for vegetables, shrimp and bite-size pieces when you want grill flavor without the frustration of lost food.

The teardrop-shaped perforations allow heat and grill flavor to reach your food while still giving you a continuous cooking surface. It’s a simple way to get that fresh-from-the-grill taste on foods that are hard to manage directly on grates.

On this seasoned cast iron grill topper, Lodge coats the entire surface with a proprietary vegetable oil formula and bakes it on in very hot industrial ovens. The high heat helps the oil penetrate deeply into the cast iron surface, creating the prized finish described in the product details.

The tall, easy-access sides help keep food contained as you stir, flip or toss. That means you can move pieces around for even contact with the hot surface, then scoop and serve more cleanly.

Yes, the wide surface works for steaks and other larger cuts, along with vegetables and smaller pieces. Many cooks like using a topper for a mixed grill, keeping sliced sides corralled while still cooking proteins on the same surface.
