It was a good class. I came home and made the paella the following week. I disappointed the class used a flan recipe that could not be completed properly in the amount of time we had. If one was made ahead of time by a previous class then each group would get to make and taste wasting only 1. As it were the entire flan was a flop. I'm happy I attended. I learned a lot and I enjoyed the instructor very much.

Perfect way to learn to cook!
It was my first cooking class and I loved it! Learned a lot. I am now very confident I can cook a paella as well as a flan.
The chef as well as the group were pretty friendly. Wil definitely take another class very soon.

DISAPPOINTING
These classes are more demonstration than actual cooking, which is somewhat disappointing. After observing more than actual preparing/cooking - once the meal is served (after sending the group out to shop thru the store while assistants set up the stations for service), students are made to stand and eat the meal - which is totally uncomfortable. There should be chairs provided during the "meal" portion of the classes. The classes don't even last the full 2 hours, and while the group is standing and eating, the chef/instructor and assistants are prepping for the next incoming class with little to no interaction with the group! I would absolutely not call this a cooking class nor would I recommend this to anyone else. Group left without recipes in hand from the Paella class. The Paella, however, was delicious once prepared. Flan was good - but the only "hands-on" cooking for the flan was watching a pot of sugar boil and turn to caramel. The actual flan was prepared in advance and served with the Paella.

First of Many more classes to add to my hosting abilities.
It was AMAZING! The class was Terrific and the instructor was very laid back and helpful. The entire store staff was very nice. My girlfriend and I have made the dish and the salad twice since too perfect and add it to our hosting arsenal. :)

Is it possible to make the paella without pork, the chorizo?
Kristin SYes it is. Continue adding what you like. We added cauliflower and considering corn next time. I couldn’t find the dry sherry so I substituted it for vermouth. Was great
